Orlando Lunatic Fringe Team

Lunatic Fringe Orlando proudly attended this year’s annual gay parade held at Lake Eola in Orlando.  The day-long expo, festival, and parade was organized by the Metropolitan Business Association (MBA) of Orlando. Orlando’s Come Out with Pride coincides with National Coming Out Day, a nationwide gay-pride observance.

Lunatic Fringe was one of the eighty unit supporters who participated in this year’s event. Orlando assembled eight models, along with the entire staff, who marched in the parade.From the hair that each stylist team designed, to the elaborate and colorful makeup, to the creative neck pieces, even down to the tulle trains some of the models worked.  Creativity with dedication can go a very long way in the hands of the right people.

Though it was over 98 degrees and water started pouring from the sky, the Orlando team didn’t let it “rain on their parade”.  When Orlando came around the corner they made a statement with eight models, a Hummer you can’t miss, and excitement you could feel from both the crowd and stylists. The crowd loved Lunatic Fringe!  And I think it’s safe to say the entire team had so much fun during the parade!

Orlando just didn’t walk in the parade to support the salon, or to get Orlando’s name out there, nor was it to show how fierce their models could look; I think clearly on this event Orlando displayed the heart of their values and beliefs.  If I may paraphrase: “We value teamwork and relationships. We believe that people are for appreciating. We strive to build a deep connection with our guests. Our supportive and nurturing culture communicates love, commitment and comfort. We believe that life, love and work inspire a hunger for every diverse and creative adventure available”.
