Lunatic Fringe Salons in Utah participate in a shampoo donation drive for Utah County- based Center for Women & Children in Crisis; a shelter advocating, safe, and educationally based environment for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Salt Lake City, – In association with the organizers of partyutah.com, Lunatic Fringe’s four Utah locations will participate in shampoo donation drive along with three other local salons benefitting The Center for Women & Children in Crisis shelter located in Provo, Utah.
Beginning Friday August 14th, salon patrons and the general public can purchase a bottle of shampoo at any one of the four Lunatic Fringe Utah locations to donate to the Center during a fundraising event on August 21st. ‘Because of the domestic abuse these women experience, many aren’t allowed to take care of themselves well and most have to leave their homes so quickly with no time to gather personal affects. The donation of quality hair-care products is so important to these women to feel good about themselves,’ Explains Kim Kowallis, the shelter’s manager.
A silent auction fundraiser sponsored by partyutah.com and date.com, will take place on Friday August 21st from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Skybar located at 161 West 600 South in Salt Lake City. The evening will feature live music, food and a wine tasting. Event attendees are asked to bring their shampoo donation for entry into the event.
