Presenting a night of high fashion and larger-than-life hair, Lunatic Fringe Salons teamed up along side Paul Mitchell the school to produce an unforgettable evening of entertainment.
Lunatic Fringe has many values established within their company culture, one of which is the value of giving back. Partnering up with Paul Mitchell the school in their annual fundraising efforts, Lunatic Fringe has produced an artistic opportunity for its very own stylists to step away from behind the chair and and let their creativity guide them through a night would raise a total of $27,000 for Paul Mitchell Schools. That brings Lunatic Fringe’s donations from the past two hair show events to over $44,000. The nonprofit organizations benefiting from our donations will be Paul Mitchell School’s very own Andrew Gomez Dream Foundation. This organization helps disadvantaged or hard-hit cosmetologists and cosmetology-related enterprises. Funds have also provided educational opportunities, hurricane relief, and support in the fights against breast cancer, domestic violence, and other destroyers of self-esteem.

Under the vision of Lunatic Fringe Artistic Director Janae Johnson, the event featured that of what “ONE WORLD” would represent. The show began with a energetic dance of different cultures/traditions found aroung the world. Along side displaying the worlds cultures, Janae Johnson also wanted to represent the elements of the Earth itself (water, fire, earth, wind). Encompassing all of which would create a sense of world unison with our Earth. Features of the show consisted of hair previously used at other events or photo shoots, revamped costumes from last years show, wardrobe created from reused and recycled paper, dead tree branches and leaves. Not only did Lunatic Fringe stylists give back to Paul Mitchell Schools, they were also successful in the preservation of our planet’s materials.
We would like to thank our fantastic sponsors and most of all our salon guests and community for support in our most successful hair show yet. Plans are underway for next years show, which continue to grow in size and talent. We look forward to your supports and thank you for your contributions.
